Twenty-Four
A downloadable game for Windows
A dark cabin, a locked door, a somewhat spooky monster, and all you have to do to escape is... math?
In Twenty-Four, alternate between free move sections where you explore the cabin, and puzzle sections sitting at the table. Will you be able to escape the cabin?
How the puzzle works
You are dealt four cards ranging from Ace to King (1-13).
Use operations [+, -, *, /] to make 24! For example, 5 + 6 + 6 + 7 = 24.
There are also a few special operations like the match and scissors you see to the right, but you'll have to download the game and find them yourself ;)
Let's try an example, try to make 24!
(you can only use multiplication [*] )
Solution
1 * 2 * 3 * 4 = 24Okay, that wasn't much of a puzzle. Let's try that same set of cards, but with different operations.
(you can use all basic operations, [+, -, *, /], but can only use [*] once)
Solution(s)
(2 + 4) * (1 + 3) = 24(1 + 2 + 3) * 4 = 24

It only took 3 people, 3.33 hours, and coding a 130 line C++ program, but we beat it. 10/10 would never do again.
Never again
LOL, a little story: the last 15 or so levels were intended to be pushed into a "challenge mode", but I was running out of time before term so I just threw them into the main game and called it a day... oops. Good work beating it tho!
This game made my friend rage (it was funny), on the other hand, I enjoyed it a lot.
